This was a tough one. It’s a Ravensburger, so typical decent quality of both printing and piece construction. There are a lot of reflective surfaces in Ciro Marchetti’s beautiful painting, which makes for a big of a challenging build — a couple of times I realized the pieces I was trying to work into an element didn’t belong there.
Likewise, there are quite a few objects with tough shapes to discern in pieces, such as the melting candles with their tendrils of wax, the sheaves of dried twigs hanging from the ceiling, and some of the skinny points on the dragon’s wings.
I love all the little details in the art, though, and the overall picture is a beauty for those of us who enjoy fantasy art.
