The Final Big Picture

Once the Golden Mantis Hunt Big Picture puzzles are solved, the searcher has four sets of coordinates:

  • 30.476111, -91.197778, near Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
  • 35.166944, -103.733611, near Tucumcari, New Mexico.
  • 30.30904, -104.020630 in Marfa, Texas.
  • 34.996667, -91.988611, near Austin, Arkansas.

Plot these out in a mapping program (we used Google Earth, but also tested it with Bing maps and Google Maps) and create a cross, and you’ll find a spot within the five-state hunting zone.

Zoom in closely on the cross, and there’s your 10 to 12 acre general area, the cemetery at Aurora, Texas. Though not as famous as the UFO crash at Roswell in 1947, the alien encounter in Aurora in 1897 is more fascinating in some ways, and somewhere in these grounds, an extraterrestrial pilot was supposedly buried.

One thing we can tell you for certain: this was the location of the Golden Mantis Hunt token, until Team PL4 found it!
